BIOGRAPHY:
Amber is faculty in Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her research involves creating computer models
that surgeons use for guiding instruments in the operating room. A typical work day might include staring into a brain resection cavity
of a patient undergoing tumor removal or angling a data acquisition device into position for scanning a nephrotic kidney. She has a Ph.D.
in Computer Science from Queen's University and a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Trent University.
